Caroline Mireault is the winner of the H. Ward Smith Award

The Canadian Society of Forensic Science is pleased to announce that the 2017 Winner of the H. Ward Smith Award is:

Caroline Mireault graduated with honors in 2015 from the first cohort of the new bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a forensic profile at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She then pursued her master’s degree in chemistry with a project on the analysis of polymers in security documents. She published works on the chemical profiling of false identity documents and on the illicit drug market on the Darknet. She is interested in different fields of forensic science and she aims to better understand different kinds of forensic traces to develop tools to provide forensic intelligence.
