The Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de medicine légale is the Quebec Government’s Forensic Science Laboratory. Founded in 1914, the laboratory currently provides expert services on major crime scenes as well as advice and training in a variety of forensic science disciplines. This presentation will focus on the laboratory’s Biology section and the discipline of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. Bloodstain Pattern Analyst training and accreditation standards will be discussed. The presentation and subsequent Q & A session will also explore the opportunity to create a Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Section within the CSFS.
